Recently Skype has updated its iOS app. The updated app will be helpful in merging the Microsoft account with Skype accounts. Microsoft recently made a decision to do away with Windows Live Messenger in support of Skype. In this way Microsoft will utilize its acquisition of $8.5 billion for a good project. This recent upgrade will allow the user to use Messenger, Outlook and Hotmail.com contacts to Skype with their family and friend.
People can use this facility by signing in Skype from their account of Microsoft. After signing in, the entire information of the user including the contacts and history will be merged with the account of Skype.
Some new features have been introduced with this merger which includes editing of individual messages by just tapping the message and then holding it down.
Since the iOS users are familiar with the Emoticons, the upgrade includes the stagnant as well as animated Emoticons. These Emoticons can be kept in IMs in Retina equipped devices.
Skype has included bug fixes in its update but they still have not specified about any particular type of bug fixes. The merging of Windows Live Messenger with Skype will allow users to easily access their Skype account and connect with their friends and families.
