It is our observation that most of the time whole is greater than the sum of all its parts. In the world of online video this seems to be true where a partnership between the two famous creators leads to awareness of both the partners. The entire YouTube network is now encouraging collaboration between the popular and talented personalities to work together on different projects and promote each another. This process of collaborating with each other has not gone unnoticed by YouTube, the online video giant. It has launched a YouTube NextUp program in collaboration. In the process of building this program the YouTube will select 30 creators that will work in collaboration to create videos. They will be provided with equipments and funds. Some classes will be arranged to help them start their work.
The people who will be selected for this task will get the funds worth $3,000 and the production equipments worth $4,000 to help them create high quality videos. In the month of March 2013, a creator camp will be arranged at the new LA office of YouTube in which the participants will be asked to film their videos.
After acquiring the New York City based Next New Networks, the YouTube has organized various NextUp contests. The aim of these contests is to identify the new talented creators and provide them with guidance and money. Since the launch of NextUp program, over 215 talented creators have been identified and funded from 15 different countries.
The applicants who want to participate in this program will have to look for another creator with whom they would like to work and then they can apply though the program site.
