iPhone and iPad sales records of 47.8M, 22.9M Units sold respectively were broken by Apple’s Q1 2013. The report of earnings for Q1 2013 was released by Apple in last year’s December. 47.8 million Units of iPhone were sold and this record was broken by Apple that sold Q1 in 2013. 22.9 million Units of iPad were sold and this record was also broken by Apple that sold Q1 in 2013. In First quarter the iPhone 5 was also available in this period. As the demand of iPhone 5 was weakened due to this Analysts suggested to cut down the production of iPhone 5.
Whereas, the sales of iPad in last quarter was 14 million and now it is recorded as 22.9 million this means it has increased with a good number. A 33 percent YOY increase was also recorded up from last year which was 15.4 million. Predictions were missed by iPad in last quarter. Though on various model specific numbers are not broken by Apple. We can assume that ipad mini played a vital role in the increase in the sale along with the holiday thorn as ipad mini was available for most of the time. An upgraded 4th generation ipad along with the lightning port was also introduced by the Apple.
As gross margin of iPad mini is very low as compared to the other products therefore ipad mini has further to build up for. The record of Apple for selling 47.8 million iPhones within the period of three months. As compared to the last quarter and year sale of iPhone it is has increased dramatically within the period of these three years. This clearly reveals the 23 percent of YOY growth. As iPod are concerned the introduction of several different iPod products has helped to improve the business for Apple. Apple is still trying hard to be at the top of the world.

- Record number of Kindle devices has been sold during the sales of Black Friday-UK
- 100 million channel sales has been passed by Samsung Galaxy S, driven by Galaxy S3 flagship
It doesn’t matter whether you are a true fan of the classic Cut the Rope game or a complete newcomer (which would be especially surprising given that it has received over 250 million downloads worldwide), Cut the Rope: Holiday Gift will serve as a tool to help get you in the mood to celebrate!
The premise of the game remain the same as always: swipe your finger such that you cut the ropes and feed Om Nom candy (all while avoiding spiders, spikes and other obstacles).
As you progress through the various levels, the puzzles become harder and harder to solve. Of course the difficulty is in direct proportion to the addiction level so it becomes impossible to put this title down once you get started.
Like the other titles in the Cut the Rope series, this one has very whimsical and fun graphics and a soundtrack that is sure to become part of the tunes you hum because you can’t get them out of your head (no matter how hard you try).
An in-game tutorial helps get you through the initial levels as you get used to the puzzle solving
What I liked: I have always enjoyed the fast pace of Cut the Rope and very much appreciate how easy it is to get started playing without a huge learning curve (though higher levels certainly can be very challenging).
What I didn’t like: The price tag on this app is a little bit confusing. Your initial download of the app is free but there are regular ads in-game that try to encourage you to make purchases.
To buy or not to buy: Holiday-themed apps are fun, festive and really do serve to motivate toward celebration at this time of year, making Cut the Rope: Holiday Gift a fantastic download!

“Over the last week, more and more details of Apple’s custom A6 processor design have come to light, including a custom armv7s-compatible core design and its triple-core GPU,” Chris Foresman reports for Ars Technica.
“Detailed analysis by Chipworks and iFixit have revealed that Apple’s custom ARM core design appears to have been laid out by hand instead of by computer algorithms-a time-consuming process that can result in optimized high-frequency operation,” Foresman reports. “‘It looks like the ARM core blocks were laid out manually – as in, by hand,” iFixit’s Miroslav Djuric said via e-mail. ‘A manual layout will usually result in faster processing speeds, but it is much more expensive and time-consuming.’”
Foresman reports, “That time-consuming manual layout process would also certainly help explain why it took Apple over four years from its acquisition of fab-less design firm PA Semi to release its own custom silicon for its mobile devices. Based on our experience with the iPhone 5, the hard work is paying off in spades.”

“More than 10,000 Belgians have already registered to buy Apple’s new iPhone ahead of its official Belgian launch on Friday, though they do not yet know how much the device will cost them, operator Mobistar said on Friday,” Reuters reports.
“Handsets in Belgium are usually not subsidised and the predecessor model of the iPhone 5 costs between 630 and 740 euros ($810-$960) in Mobistar’s web shop,” Reuters reports. “‘They want the device no matter what, so they are willing to pay the price they have to,’ a spokeswoman for the group said.”
