Apple now has $137.1 billion in cash which means it has increased up to 12.9 percent from the last year. The last reported cash in hand was $121.3 billion and now the cash in hand is $137.1 billion. This shows a positive growth of the company. $120.4 billion was total revenue per annum of HP in 2012. This figure shows that the Apple’s cash in hand was more than HP’s revenue. Whereas, $123.6 billion was the GDP of Vietnam. And this figure also shows that the Apple’s cash in hand was more than Vietnam’s GDP.
The annual revenue of Samsung is greater than HP’s revenue and Vietnam’s GDP. The annual revenue of Samsung was $180 billion. But when it comes to cash in hand Apple is above all. And we can say that Apple is a dominant towards its competitors. Over the past few years Apple is considered to be the best profit generating machine and still it is generating the profit at a good level. With the performance of Apple we can say that it will continue its performance and maintain its standards. It will also maintain a good amount of cash in hand that is a short term investment. But somehow Apple is declining as growth is concerned. It is being weak day by day. Whereas, Samsung has now became among top fifteen technology developers.
Apple shares have been trading very high from the last twelve months and this is the reason why Apple has that much cash in hand. Around Apple’s shares there is a lot of uncertainty and volatility. This shows that the company can acquire, innovate and move into other and new markets at any time they want very easily. The dividends will be paid to the existing investors from the profit that Apple earns. Whereas big investments and acquisitions are concerned Apple has been very shy.
